# Known limitations

An honest list of what Delta Robotics products don't do yet, from firmware version gaps to in-development muscle lines and estimated wire specifications

Delta Robotics products are early and moving fast. Here's a plain list of the gaps that exist today, so nothing surprises you mid-build.

## Public firmware trails the library's supported version

The public TF Node Controller firmware is at v1.0.1, while the current 1.0.2 Python library is tested against firmware 1.1.1 to 1.1.2. A Node running the public build will trip the library's outdated-firmware warning on discovery. For a firmware version in the supported window, follow [Firmware updates](/docs/software/firmware-updates.md) or contact the team.

## Logging and session tooling is experimental

The Node streams current, voltage, and resistance, and the library includes session logging and analysis. These interfaces are experimental and may change between releases. Reach out for current guidance before you build a workflow around them.

## Preconfigured shape-set profiles aren't shipped yet

One-command training cycles, with recommended currents, durations, and ramps, are in development. For now, shape-setting is a manual, calibrated process. See [How to Train Nitinol: Electric](/docs/learn/how-to-train-nitinol/electric.md).

## AeroFlex and HydraFlex are in development

The pneumatic (AeroFlex) and hydraulic (HydraFlex) muscle lines are not released yet. Their pages describe the direction, not a shipping product. See [AeroFlex](/docs/hardware/aeroflex.md) and [HydraFlex](/docs/hardware/hydraflex.md).

## The online store is offline

Products are currently ordered by contacting the team rather than through a store. The store will return; until then, see [Can I buy products right now?](/docs/help/faq.md) in the FAQ for the contact path.

## Some wire specifications are estimates

The 1.0 mm and 2.0 mm Nitinol figures for force, resistance, current, and cooling are extrapolated from measured 0.5 mm data, not yet validated across lab and field tests. Treat them as starting points, not guarantees. See the [Wire](/docs/hardware/nitinol/wire.md) specs.
