# NiTiNOL

Delta Robotics Nitinol product line, straight-annealed shape memory alloy wire and precision tension springs, plus how to mount, wire, and train them

Nitinol is the shape memory alloy at the heart of every Delta muscle: heat it and it contracts, let it cool and it relaxes. We sell it on its own, as straight-annealed wire and as precision tension springs, so you can build your own actuators from the same material our ThermoFlex muscles use. Train it to a shape, drive it with current, and it moves.

This section covers the wire and spring products, how to mount and wire them, and where to go to learn the materials science and training methods behind them.
